Threats to the family farm and how to deal with them

Our case study seminars on the topic Threats to the Family Farm and How to Deal With Them have come to a conclusion. We hosted two seminars at Lainston House Hotel near Winchester and Goodwood Hotel in Chichester this month, exploring all the various elements involved in selling a farm including Capital Gains Tax and amongst other legal issues.

Sheen Stickland partners Philip Sharpe and Harriet Sergeant, who specialise in the agricultural and rural business sector, were joined by representatives from Carter Jonas, Moore Blatch Solicitors and Natwest.

Both seminars were a tremendous success, drawing attendance from many South East farmers and landowners. Not only did attendees enjoy highly informative presentations, guests also had time to network with peers over a selection of cakes and refreshments. The seminar concluded with a question and answer section where attendees were able to pick the brains of our specialist speakers.
