Here at Sheen Stickland we’ve been getting into the community festive spirit and were delighted to support this year’s Alton Yuletide Festival over the 30th November and 1st December. This popular annual event saw the town centre transformed into a vibrant Christmas Market and twinkling wonderland, with free parking on offer for visitors.
The town centre played host to hundreds of stalls, offering a wide mix of gifts, crafts and local produce. Saturday championed local small businesses, with a chance for visitors to support and find out more about local charities and community groups. Throughout the weekend there was lots of family fun to be had by taking a turn on the free ice skating rink, visiting Santa’s Grotto, enjoying live music and a fantastic Fun Fair on the Sunday. Alongside the town centre lights, on show until the New Year is Alton’s now-world famous main lawn feature, the Alpine Skiing Mamot, nicknamed ‘Marmite’, who hit the headlines over the unusual choice for a festive light feature.
We would like to wish all our clients and local businesses a very Happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
