We are receiving an increasing number of queries with respect to the furlough scheme and the availability of the reclaims portal due to go live on Monday 20th April 2020. Therefore we wanted to provide an outline of our timetable and plan in order to manage this process.
The portal will be available via your online PAYE account. Where we are acting as your agent for payroll services we will have access to this on your behalf should you wish us to deal with it.
For those clients that have already asked us to complete the furlough claim on their behalf we are intending to make the claims throughout the week ending 24th April 2020 and will keep you updated once submitted.
If you are an existing payroll client and you would like us to action the furlough claim on your behalf please confirm by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (if you have not already done so) plus you will also need to provide the bank account details of where you would like the payment made.
Alternatively, if you currently manage your own payroll scheme and would like assistance with the completion of your furlough claim, please confirm this by emailing email@example.com and we will arrange an authorisation to act on your behalf. Although please be aware that HMRC are taking up to 10 working days to provide authority, therefore there will be a slight delay in being able to action the claim.
Please note, HMRC anticipate that the uptake on this portal will be very busy particularly on Monday 20th April. Hence there are likely to be significant delays when accessing the portal.
We are unable to provide a fixed fee quote for this service at this time therefore our fees will be charged based on time spent and our usual hourly rates.
