On graduation from Manchester University in 1979, Colin trained at the Southampton office of Whinney Murray, now part of Ernst & Young and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1982.
Following qualification Colin sought a position with a smaller firm, joining Sheen Stickland as an audit manager in 1982 and being admitted as a partner in 1985.
Colin advises on a wide range of commercial and tax matters and his clients include family companies, partnerships and trusts as well as branches and subsidiaries of overseas companies. His experience includes advising on acquisitions and disposals of companies, particularly financial due diligence, as well as advising on business valuation and transfer pricing. Colin does not specialise in any one industry and his clients conduct a wide variety of business activities.
In 2006 Colin was amongst the first to be granted the Corporate Finance qualification by the ICAEW.
Married with two children, Colin enjoys playing chess, walking in the local countryside and travel further afield. He has been a member of his local parish council for many years.
