David is a specialist in Audit (Corporate and Specialist Sectors) and Accounts and Business Services, after gaining his BA with honours degree in Accounting and Business Studies from Liverpool University, David trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a top ten national practice based at their Southampton office.
David became a partner in April 2000, over 20 years ago, having joined the firm in 1996. His technical expertise, combined with a calm approach and willingness to listen, allow him to deliver appropriate, measured and considered solutions to his clients. He applies a practical, commercial approach to problem solving, always weighing up the costs against the benefits, and explaining the issues in a clear, straightforward manner. Working with businesses and charities of all shapes and sizes, he provides a high calibre, timely service, always tailored to the specific requirements of each individual client.
With over thirty years in the profession, David advises on the preparation and audit of accounts for small, medium sized and large companies & charitable entities, as well as on charity & company formation/structure, group/company restructuring, business disposals and acquisitions.
David also has a strong background in Corporation Tax planning, Capital Allowances, Research & Development, EMI schemes, Transfer pricing issues, structuring tax-efficient remuneration for owners/directors together with a myriad of other business advisory matters.
Married with two adult children, David is actively involved in his local community as well as watching and competing in a variety of sports, including football, cricket, and golf.
